Dr. George Veletsianos is Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology at the University of Texas, Austin. His research focuses on understanding participant experiences in learning contexts mediated with emerging technologies, and studies online and hybrid learning environments. His focus areas are adventure learning, pedagogical agents, and faculty participation in online social networks. Most recently he has published an edited book under an open access license entitled Emerging Technologies in Distance Education, which can be downloaded for free at http://www.aupress.ca/index.php/books/120177.
